Both are WUXGA.
The Dell screen is quite good. However, the keyboard sucks, it doesn't have gigabit, and it ahs all of Dell's stupid stuff, like dimbed-down BIOS, etc.
The 9440 was on my list - until I sw the price! Ouch! A similarly equipped Sager 9760 costs about $1000 less. Made the choice easy for me. Plus, I really like the glossy screen.
