The build quality and track pointer make the Latitudes a very good value. The case around the lcd has almost no give at all.
Finally, I would think the matte screen in WUXGA would better suit your photoshop and editing requirements.
I also miss the scroll button, and the IBM viewing angles were somewhat better. However, the LCD is much stronger (ALMOST NO FLEX).
Like the IBM, the D620 has only one small mono speaker, although the Dell speaker is better located...

I got mine, too. Build quality is quite nice; keyboard is excellent, and the trackpointer is fabulous - much better than the IBM I used to use.
Some light leakage at bottom of lcd, but does not bother me; the wxga is good so...
