Is the touchpad disabled?

Boot into safe mode and log into the "Administrator" account. Go to control panel and click on "User Accounts." Select the account with unknown password and remove password. All fixed.

Chat with them and they'll be glad to send you a CD (especially if you are under warranty).

Stick with oem if you want to keep warranty and peace of mind.
