RPM stands for rotations per minute. These rotations are of the platter in the hard drive (the actual information holder of the hard drive). The faster the spin, the faster information is able to picked up by the arm of the hard drive.
What is the difference? I am going to college and I am buying a Dell laptop. I want the laptop for performance and graphics (gaming). I can't decide which is best for me What do you all think?
How portable are the Inspiron's? I heard they are more for offices. I want a laptop for college.

I kept hearing about it being in the middle of this month. That really sucks if it isn't due till the 4th quarter.
