I am selling not even 1 day old PC2700 Kingmax Cas 2 (if you can change the memory setting, otherwise it is Cas 2.5) 1 gb 2x512 memory for $185 shipped. I bought PC3200 ram for my ZX5000 and was not sure if it would work and it does so...
Am I missing something here? Didn't the man want laptop memory? Kingmax and GEIL are the only 2 I know of that make PC3200. GEIL sux so don't bother (It's Cas 3) I had good results with the Kingmax.
Just ordered PC2700 DDR333 Cas 2 ram 2x512 I will let you guys know if it makes any difference running the slower ram or not. I am going to end up paying $80 in restocking fee's but I want to know wtf is going on with this thing.
Peter: Good points but this is an ATI chipset motherboard. It is based on the new ATI IGP 9100. When going from 512 to 1 gig of Corsair on my desktop I noticed almost 700 mark increase in 3dmark2001se and a 7% increase in memory...
well i just emailed both, guess we will wait and see. I am going to buy some PC2700 and see what it does in dual channel mode. Maybe it just doesnt like this PC3200 ram, but I seriously doubt it.
