3517 blue screened on my 8204. Trying 3516 now. Update... 3516 works fine. Can't see any noticeable changes. Going to retry 3517 now.
Caused a blue screen on my 8204 again. I'm sticking with my trusty (and fairly old) Omega drivers.
I tried the 6.10 drivers on my 8204 yesterday and after the post-installation reboot the machine blue-screened. I've since rolled back to my previous driver which is stable.
Going to a command line and typing CONVERT C: /FS:NTFS only takes a few minutes to work its way through and won't harm your data.

I've downloaded and applied it here and it seems fine. Haven't noticed any changes at all.
Check that the device is enabled and showing up with no errors in Device Manager.
Have you tried downloading the latest driver from the Synaptics website and installing that? Mine was flaky until I installed that one and since then it has been fine.
