I had the same problem until I dl'd the cpu driver from AMD's site. Now it idle's at around 800mhz but I get all 2.2gis from it when I run any programs. I check it with CPU-Z and CPUID that I dl'd from the AMD site. I know it didn't...

What are you checking it with? CPUZ/CPUID? I downloaded both PowerNow and the new CPU driver from the AMD website...I also used Desktop/Home for my power setting.
