You could draw power off of the PS/2 port.
Are you certain you are connecting to your router and not to a neighbors router.

No artifacting on my system.
Mine recently started the clicking noise. Click Had to RMA my harddrive.
Was tried in the past. Did not work.

Thanks Gary, Ran Surface Scan. No problems found. The hard drive makes a grinding and clicking sound right before it locks up. This has happened three time within the last 24 hours. Thanks again,
