The cable should not have anything to do with your drivers. What kind of cable are you using, I would assume a standard A - B usb cable? What printer are you using? Make? Model? Try the printer manufactures website for drivers.
Yeah, I would like to hear PCTORQUE's thoughts on this one as well. Might be a good laptop to evaluate for the sales staff at work.

It should have been included in your drivers that came with the printer. Their should also be a file titled usbmon.dll.
