I don't understand the rationale behind the high prices. LGA 775 processors offer little to no performance increase, DDR2 at 533 MHz trails DDR1 at 400 MHz in benchmarks, and SATA hard drives are no faster than PATA drives at 7200 RPM....
Now I know that the base price is still tentative, but I'd like to join some of the voices here in pointing out that $2695 is too high a price for the basic configuration that Luke unveiled. Opt for a 7200 rpm hard drive, raise the RAM...
