JohnJSal: It's quite common that installing other mouse drivers will interfere with the default touchpad software. Try reinstalling your touchpad (Alps) drivers.

Guys, don't worry about the size/weight too much. I was quite happy with my Inspriron 7000, which still dominates the current XPS/9100 contenders!
Due to newer technology, the Hitachi 60GB 7200rpm drive consumes less power than most other slower drives.
Most probably, trying more than 60Hz won't bring any improvement on your internal LCD, but shouldn't hurt, and it might reduce ghosting on some external LCD monitors, unless it is just a buggy option in the newest drivers.
