aamsel: Since it seems that you were the only one to quote some spec figures, let me add to the confusion. Dell's specs for Inspirons stipulate the same brightness 150 cd/m2, viewing angles horizontal +/- 40 and vertical +10/-30...
Thanks for the link, sid21177. The specs for Clevo's M37EW look OK. Still, it remains to be seen how long it will take to reach the US market, and whether Sager will offer it at competitive prices. I hope they will, since competition...
As far as I know, partially stuck pixels may appear due to multiple causes, which are too esoteric to discuss here. Anyway, since this seems to be a good screen otherwise, my advice would be to keep it, since hopefully the two pixels...

somms is correct (as always). Although bad sectors might still occur even with the current technology, they are "hidden" by the HDD firmware (actually remapped from an initially reserved pool) from the OS and hence the user....
I mentioned the trackstick for completeness only. I used a trackstick with one of my notebooks during 1995-1996, and it was quite inconvenient. I don't recall precisely when the scrolling feature was introduced into touchpads, but I know...
