I don't know exactly how much heat it generates, but you can check on AMD.com and go to the technical specs on each processor. It won't reflect how well or how poorly each laptop cools that chip, but will give you a basis to compare...

Is there a AMD64 laptop that can run for longer then 3 hours on batteries? The Emachines 6805 is such a great deal and such a fast system, but 3 hours just won't work for me.
