I have both; if you play UT just a little, and don't do much video editing you might get away with the Intel display adapter of the MacBook, but any major use of 3D graphics is going to make you regret that decision; go MacBook Pro.
Just a quick FYI: there is no real "format" tab or command in OS X Disk Utility; the closest thing to it is to erase & then partition which will accomplish the same thing.
