Ouch, $200? I'm running this exact kit in my M1210: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820220221 And I know a lot of others are running this as well. I got it about 6 months ago when it had a rebate for $120ish. Now it's...
I use Endust to clean nearly all of my electronics. For the magnesium cover on the M1210, I spray it directly on the cover, then wipe it throughly with a paper towel. Normally it's best to spray the Endust on the paper towel, then wipe...
I had a standing order for three of these at work from our Nextel rep, and finally got two in on Friday. I've been using it on and off all weekend, and it's quite nice. I have been having issues with the connection manager software and...
The graphics card is integrated into the motherboard. The only way to switch from the Intel GMA to the 7400 would be to replace the motherboard, which I bet isn't cheap.
I picked up my Brenthaven on ebay for ~$40. It's made for a 13 inch Mac, but fits my M1210 perfectly.
I wish Dell would offer Sprint EVDO on an internal card. I don't think Sprint even has EVDO Expresscards out yet. I'm stuck with phone-as-modem over bluetooth until one of the two comes out.
Did you actually purchase the WWAN card? It's a $200something option. If you have the card, you can download the drivers from Dell and I assume it will come with a program to connect to the Internet.
It might be a different brand of drive. Also, even two identical hard drives of the same brand/capacity can have different subtle sounds.
They're on the Dell site now, I noticed the other day. Crazy expensive though, like $160 for the 9cell and $140 for the 6cell. Links: 9cell $162.95 6cell $149.95
Or you could just save your old processor and swap it back in before Dell comes out.
