Anaconda, Any possibility we could get a picture of the hinge internals? As in, how does the metal hinge attach to the lcd screen? I know the hinge as it attaches to the notebook body is metal on metal.
I would think that there would have to be some kind of "docking port" on the eMachines like my ThinkPad has. The eMachines I had didn't have such a port.

I saw a M23XX version in Best Buy with the same problem.
Sounds like a good reason to send it certified, return receipt.
A bad batch? Must have been a pretty big batch. The bad batch spanned M6805, M6807, M6809, and now the M6810.
Does anyone know what the hinge *fix* is?
