Thanks all. From the looks of things, 2GB cards should work. Anything larger is fated to fail (hey, how do you like my alliteration?). Any more reports???

corrado: I've looked into that; no dice. As near as I can make out, Acer is the only provider of the driver and no recent updates are available.

BTW, AMD's max operating temp for this CPU is 95c
