the standard m1530 has no multiple channel sound card just the basic stero output in front (2x) and a microphone input hole. so no 6 channel sound card, maybe the HDMI port supports it but that isn't something you can connect to a 5.1...
i think the desiners at dell gave it enough attention. so i suppose it would work just fine

well both configurations have few good points but if you could just combine them lik so: T8300 120 GB 7200 HD 2 GB ram 9cell battery Led display then you would have an exelent system
cpu is a bit faster HD is a bit faster GPU is much faster this should make for a good high preformance system
well when i get my 1530 i will reinstall it too.
i wouldn't make such a fuss about it. its just there and your keyboard collects about 40 times as much dust so would you leave that out too?
i'd tell my boss/ supervisor to get a generator so we could work properly it's not the stone age anymore you know
