I do not think there is an issue concerning heat on the macbooks, disregarding that some may have som plastic blocking the ports. The MacBook is a bit warm, but many laptops are - especially those with Core-Duo.

I don't think 128 mb shared will do a great difference contra 64 mb. I think it will require some dedicated memory do make a significant difference in performance.
