Adam, Can you yet answer the question about max. resolution when running dual head? I.e. Can you run the 8887X with a dual head setup, where each monitor is running at 1600x1200? Thus, giving 3200x1200 resolution, or 1600x2400...

And I'll be dipped if Toshiba isn't right there, too, with the new Tecra S1. Also, Centrino-compatible. 6 pounds(!) with a 14" screen and 3.something hour battery. More with a 15" screen (UXGA) and a 5.something hour...

SUPPOSEDLY, the 40/5400 and the 60/4200 are about the same performance. The 60's slower spindle speed is made up for by its higher data density on the platters. I.e. it spins slower, but more data passes under the read/write heads on...
