Could be, I don't know for sure. I was told that with the SB upgrade you get the Sigmatel HD Audio Chip and with the standard you don't. An easy way to check would be for someone with the standard option to check the Device Manager...

Actually with the SB upgrade with DELL you do get the better Sigmatel High Definition Audio chip which is not only just a Software upgrade but a much better than the standard Audio Chip that normally comes with their laptops.

In the Bios. It shows 533 and that value is unchangable.
