I agree the n5010 is using two tubes to produce the light thus making the 600:1 contrast ratio where as the n3010 uses one. but the n3010 does have the same glossy screen as the n5010.
The screen on the n3010 is the same as the n5010 except the n5010 is bigger... Exact same technology on both "TFT MVA"... fujitsu just renamed it to Crystal View
setup the xps system and then setup the 8600 with the same stats, except of course the CPU just use the Pentium®M Processor,1.7GHz,15.4 WUXGA and tell us the price difference.
Note: that the xbrite screens from sony are only on two laptop models and the same is for the fujitsu's MVA screen tech. For Fujitsu it is the n3010 & n5010 both are quite large and heavy but have absolutly amazing screens.

what type of TFT Is the UltraSharpTM Wide Aspect WUXGA active matrix used on the XPS. Is it TN or VA??? or is there some other type that I have no idea about.
How would you compare the screen to say the Dell UltraSharpTM Wide Aspect WUXGA active matrix screens...any comments on this would be amazing. As I am going to buy either the N5010 or the XPS.
The only problem with them is that I am in Canada land of getting screwed by tax's when the unit comes across the border. But still my question of clarity of screen is urgent since, I want to order the laptop in 2 days. Since Dell.ca...
