Ok I just did the dell diagnostic thing (Fn + power) because I never even knew that existed buuut...it said that everything checked out but I know I have to have a gfx card problem... I'm still getting the artifacts ALL the time..safe...

I was able to find a FX2500 on craigslist for $140 bucks so.. I think my card frying is good and bad.. it will be a pretty decent upgrade from the 7900 gs i hope
