okay so I'm sure 2gb of ram is great. but you will have to consider that the x1400 only has 128mb of on board memory. modern games requires more than this for textures and polygon information. at least this is what I've noticed with my...
more memory always boosts performance. however, the x1400 gpu will be the biggest performance issue in games. so therefore I would just get 1gb of ram or buy a computer with at least an ati x1600 card and get 2gb of ram.
I have no stability problems with my e1505. However, when running on battery power the computer sometimes "stops" for half a second or so. This can be annoying if i play track mania nations while on battery power.
hello my 6400/e1505 refuses to suspend after installing windows xp pro. is there any driver from dell that lets me suspend? i can put the computer in standby mode though.
thanks for your reply! I feel that the linux community should be more united and so I'll mainly use ubuntu which i feel is growing quite big for home-pc's. Also it's simple and completely free. What I don't like about ubuntu though...
Hello I just got mine E1505/6400. I find the mediadirect feature awsome although I would like to reinstall windows and to install linux whilst keeping mediadirect. I've been doing some reading up as this topic has been up before....
