OK I installed it and am running it at 1440x900 and it looks excellent, no problems. Looks awesome at widescreen!
I've got NWN and the first expac. I'll load it up on the 8790 tonight and see how it plays.

Just adding another datapoint - my HDD light works as well. There is absolutely nothing wrong with this 8790 of mine, everything is perfect so far.
