dunno about the hard drive, but if you're only getting the 7900gs, you might want to consider the e1705. alot cheaper (doesn't look as flashy though).

i have a Logitech V270 i got off of ebay. works great for casual use and gaming (mostly guildwars, oblivion, bf 2042).

the highest option i have is 1600 x 1024. i'm using a 19" Samsung that's probably at least 4 years old.

i'm using an external CRT and can go all the way up to 1600 x 1024, but i believe the limit is the monitor itself, not the GPU. afaik if the screen is capable of displaying it, it should work. i could be wrong though.

i emailed portableone, and they told me that the battery life of the A8Js is slightly shorter than the A8Jm due to the extra voltage of the Core 2 Duo. my A8Jm gets around 3 hours of light use, if that helps at all.

www.portableone.com has the A8Js with bluetooth for N America (the portable one MX). bought my A8Jm from those guys. great seller to work with.

get a better warranty, with Dell's tech support you won't regret it. at least 2 years with complete care would be a worthwhile investment. the Dell forums here are full of people who have been more than happy with Dell taking care of...

the location on the A8Jm buggs me from time to time. usually it's not a problem though.
