I didnt realize that is was the burner that had problems reading it afterwards. That really puzzles me too!

for me it was media, it wasnt the fact it was -r or +r, but brand...I had success with ritek g04 and none from memorex...try a diff. brand.

It should not interfere with built in sound. If the Audigy is NOT connected, your built in sound will take over. If its connected then the Audigy will handle all sound.
