Yeah it started working on mine as soon as i got the right driver installed...

The battery sticks out about 1/2" along the back of the laptop. I don't think it is bad at all, you don't see it or touch it in regular computing...

The OEM OS cd i paid the extra $10 cause i was trying to configure over 1999 so i could get $750 off. Anyway there is a guide somewhere on these forums that tells you how to get it for free... I will let you know about the battery...
