Anyone know where I can read about all these different Bright screen technologies? Which is technology is REALLY brighter etc? HP has them Tosh has them, Sony etc.

not on the toshiba, no matter what I do, in the bios or in the taskbar, it goes dimmer than on AC.

It's a problem if you want a constant output of light regardless of power supply. Do all of them do this?

Thanks! I'm not always the brightest bulb inthe marquee. No pun intended. I have the same issue with my Toshiba ga-25 av513. LOVE the screen on power but hate it when it's on battery.

You might conside the Tosh ga-25. I have one I'm about to sell I think for one with longer battery life, but the screen is AWESOME bright and super sharp. I use a color profile on mine. The screen is great.
