The areal density of these new drives is twice that of my current 7k100, so unless there is some massive flaw in the seek performance of this drive, it should smoke my current setup. This and a T7200 will be the last upgrades for my e1705.
Dell laptops have issues with recognizing both cores even on the latest kernels, so that's a problem. Video drivers aren't exactly easy, but they aren't that hard. Intel wireless is NOT supported at all currently.
Awesome size for me. I am also 193cm (6'4") tall and stout.
My girlfriend also loves hers, and she's 157cm (5'2") tall and skinny. A little taxing on her wrists when she moves it though.
