curits, i need the floppy because I need to be able to copy data, specifically from the boot sector and other areas, to an external drive. otherwise, you're right, a bootable cd would be an easier choice T

Razor, I got the same exact hard drive. I hate to burst your bubble but when I googled it I found it to be 4200 rpm 2 mb cache. The DK23FB-60 is the one that is 5400. If you got some other info let me know, but look at this link...
