The beeping sound is most likely coming from the internal pc speaker. The same one that beeps when you start up most computers. For some reason or other your computer thinks you have a stuck key.

I suggest Project 64 for nintendo 64 roms. I use it on my 9300 and it works great. There's a few games that are slow no matter what though. 007 doesnt play the greatest, but strangely enough perfect dark plays just fine.
