Great trick for confident power users, but not completely without risk (possibility of shorting for the clumsy or careless). I might look into it...the little heat these duos put out, and with I8kfanGUI, definitely a tempting mod.

Exactly. I got the slowest possible configuration (save the 7900GS) with the intention of taking the extra money and dropping in a Merom once they ship. With a ›20% increase per clock, that's the better investment.
You are ripping yourself off if you think the very minimal gain is worth another $250. Get the slowest possible Yonah, and spend the difference on a Merom from Newegg and drop it in. Then you will see a difference. Think man, think....
