yea both ati and nvidia know how to run low power modes just as much as intel. just because intel is in low power all the time dosnt mean its better at it then ati or nvidia.
due to the shape of the card needed and BIOS support, you can only upgrade it to what ever the options are listed on dells site as upgrade options for the model you have.
Go for the 1.66ghz duo, there is no proof yet the Core2 is a drop in for 1505 yet, would you risk it to save a few pennies? Oh and forget about the solo.. its a money maker for intel only.
