I have a question:
I'm running VMM (A virtual machine) and it frequently happens that the internal speaker beeps. It's not really annoying but when I am in class, I don't want to bother everyone...

ok I did it...
u have to copy the files to the ram-drive (you can create that under dos).... then it's no problem at all!
Now I'm a proud owner of a nd-5500a!

I tried different bootable cd rom... an old image of an win98 start disk (that I created some time ago...) and the one linked by IANOU (above)... but everytime I tried to access the c:\ drive I failed...)

I also thought its a stupid thing to burn it on the cd rom, but I read that in another forum!
how to access the c:\ drive in the dos mode? if you are still willing to help ;-)
because the dos mode...
just to be sure that we did the same:
the "nec5x00a.exe" and the "5500rpc1.bin" files are both on the Dos cd-rom...
or did you guys do anything diffrent?
My specs: I8600 and nec nd-5100a

Well, I don't have a floppy so created a bootable CD-Rom. Now I have a question: Which file did you download (the **High Risk** one or the other on the top of the page)...
