Yeah, the reason for that is Windows by default puts primary drives first then logical drives. Since the partitions are logical drives, they come after physical drives unless you tell Drive Manager to do it differently. This at least...

BTW, it's not Hyperthreading that you lose. Hyperthreading is part of the CPU, and doesn't have anything to do with memory. What you lose is the Dual Channel memory access.
