FYI, I couldn't get mine to work, found HolyKami's suggestions (thanks), and now all is fine. It wouldn't work without the splitter, and I hadn't thought to try it.

If you have XP then you have a basic firewall (it blocks inbound, but not outbound) built in. It can be enabled on the advanced tab on network connection properties. Personally I go for the hardware firewall and have a PIX.
I just picked up the MX510 (http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/pr...CONTENTID=8070) on friday and so far it's seems really good.
