be careful with partitions. Windows cannot read or write to ext3. The only file format supported by both operating systems is FAT32. And Windows has some trouble reading FAT32 drives over 30something GB's.

If you wipe out the partition(s) on the laptop, how will the direct media feature be effected? I have my e1505 coming in today and i plan to wipe out the hard drive and install XP pro. Is media direct just a program that can be reinstalled?
I think it is a bad thing for technology. AMD buying ATI is doom for video cards. AMD chips will probably only work exclusively with ATI cards while intel chips probably wont be able to use ATI cards.
