your cable modem will use either rj45 or usb cable (should have both). your m1210 has ports for both.

i did the same thing it took me 15-20 minutes to figure out how to fix it.

i dont think there is any advantages to using media center. i prefer beyond tv. other people like sage tv. i would get a trial version of each and see what you think.

wow. i ordered my m1210 w/ a 9 cell battery but then decided i wanted another. it took awhile to get to the right department because the batteries werent listed anywhere but i was able to get a second 9 cell for $78 shipped.
