So after a few days on ebay I just went out and bought a WRT54G version 6.
Everything is working great so far. I'll let you know if the v6 gives me problems.
Definitely re-install or get a better version of internet explorer.
As an experiment I would download firefox and see if thhe same thing happens.

I upgraded the firmware and started to use WPA and it started yellow triangle !'ing me.
I am weary of ebay sometimes. What is another good router to use?
I am loyal to linksys though.
I can't find the versions on any sites I was on, aside from when ebay users mentioned it. I guess I'll have to risk it.

I upgraded the firmware it its even worse now.
I keep having to rebbot and renew the dhcp.
I guess I will have to scrape some cash together to go for the G.
So now I'm experiencing this on my desktop that is wireless.
Is it more likely to be my router or the cable modem?
I can't really afford a new router right now.
The benefeit is that you can setup profiles. I have to use it because my school uses Cisco LEAP and I have to use the enterprise security and 802.1x authentication
