i8kfangui, i just got it for my m1710, its brilliant, you can control the fan speed and everything, it monitors the cpu temp, i cant seem to get it to do the gpu tho, so i just use the one in the nvidia control panel to monitor gpu...

is there a program that allows me to manage the fans, for example, which allows me to control when they come on/go off?

lol, but the m1710 also has a 2.1 setup(as it also has a sub underneath), the same as the m9700.

if you mean the ones of the actual side of the laptop, they are the exhaust vents, correct me if i'm wrong please. You dont want to blow air at them, but blowing it at the ones on the top would be fine, i should imagine it would be quite...
