TRUE. I already have a new LCD on the way and I'm praying it's an AUO. Dell customer service was extremely helpful as I didn't have to haggle or raise my voice. Hell I didn't even have to ask if they can send me a new one, they offered...

Adobe Gamma Controls will not do much to fix bad viewing angles, it will only help out with hues and color by adjusting the LCD's gamma levels. LCD583 looks perfect when viewed directly at eye level. Infact I couldn't tell the difference...
