I have the same problem on both my laptop and my desktop. But the 5.1 Klipsch speakers on the desktop more than compensate.

It looks about as bad as mine did. I got mine replaced.

I'm glad to know I'm not the only person with this issues. I don't have the wzcsldr.exe running either. If anyone with this problem finds a resolution, please reply!

No program is hanging, and I don't think blocking the fan intake will matter much since the system goes into standby when the lid is closed. The fans remain at max until I reboot.

Occasionally, not always, I'll close my lid and open it a few minutes later, and the fans on my XPS start blaring and never calm down. To fix it, I have to reboot. Has anyone else had this problem? It's kind of annoying. ...
