I tried reformatting the comp, but the disc Asus provides us, only brings it back to it's original state... so I wasted an hour for nothing!!
What programs did you keep, and what programs did you deleted?
Just got mine in today, CMO screen for me...
One thing I do notice is that the screen is relatively less brighter then my IBM t42... I heard about the brightness problem in the anadtech review also.

I can tell you right now I'm on my T42(64mb gpu/512mb ram), I can play WoW on lowest settings and get around 20 FPS. I would think that since you have the x1400, if you were to upgrade the ram, it would be alot better...
