do you need to create a separate partition for the download? and how do you burn isz?

i performed the long repair on my e1505 by filling the first row of the partition table w/ 0's, but when i press the mediadirect button it only shows the logo and then goes into windows xp.

get the latest BIOS. it fixes some of the thermal issues.

it does feel significantly cooler. before, the upper right corner was scalding hot. now it's not too bad.

i bet you can extract the files from the exe and then somewhere in there would be just the drivers. any noticeable differences? i'm still running w/e came w/ my e1505 default.

i was looking around dell for updates and i noticed a bios update for a07. i currently have a06. then i did some sleuthing of the bioses w/ e1505. i found a couple posts of the e1505 being hot after bios...
