i performed the long repair on my e1505 by filling the first row of the partition table w/ 0's, but when i press the mediadirect button it only shows the logo and then goes into windows xp.
NOTE:Shut down all other applications prior to running the BIOS update utility. The update utility reboots your system in order to get the new BIOS loaded.
Double click the Icon on your desktop labeled MM061A08.EXE.
The Dell Bios...
i bet you can extract the files from the exe and then somewhere in there would be just the drivers.
any noticeable differences? i'm still running w/e came w/ my e1505 default.
i was looking around dell for updates and i noticed a bios update for a07. i currently have a06. then i did some sleuthing of the bioses w/ e1505. i found a couple posts of the e1505 being hot after bios...
