This is the only form ive posted anything about my problem on.
OK, youre at the first stage. That bulge means that one of the screws have failed but the other is still in place, not allowing it to spread as far as our's have. IMPORTANT, you need to do something about it now, before it gets a lot worse.
Again, its not the hinges that broke. Those things could probably survive a nuclear war. The problem area is the flimsy plastic it is attached to the screen with.
Yeah, that screw idea is something ive been tossing back and forth as a last option. But i ave a question. When you used jb weld, did you put just enough to hold the plastic pillars in place? Or did you adhere the hinge to it as well? i...
All im saying is that after letting the jb weld dry for two solid days, it broke apart the first time i tired to close it.
And note, that if you do decide to take the route i did, the screen is a little lose and wont have enough friction to hold itself up when at an extreme angle. But its works for me, and im willing to put up with it.
