My 7800 ran for 2 years no problem. I still have a 6800 U for sale from the upgrade it worked for a year no problem.

I just ordered an M1730 and was told that dell did NOT have vista ultimate. I'm hoping I can use my desktop ULTIMATE DVD with my Dell vista product code. Did I get bum info about 1730 & Dell Ultimate 64?

Some of the used 1730s say "personalization shield". I'm buying one today and sales rep says there is no such thing. I'm confused.

So is Vista 64 in the box with a new 1730? I'm ordering one today

As others have said this is not uncommon experience for Dell. Just keep trying eventually you will get the right person who will resolve your issue.
