Never mind, seems it was just acting up. A few reboots kicked it.

Thing stopped working after the system got totally molested by a rogue IR source. (don't ask.) How do I turn those little buttons between power and wireless back on? I tried F11 and that did nothing.

Ah, thanks. I know that a lot of the 5500 and later 51M's were rather sensitive to memory types, so I wanted to be sure!

Haven't seen a thread on this in a while, so what brands of memory are known to work in it? I have the 40A8 revision motherboard.

See title. I've got a 766 with the old 9600 video module, and I'd like to upgrade like alienware promised I'd be able to do when I bought the thing 3 years ago. Also looking for the slot-loading dvd-rw they were selling about a year ago.
