wow that's a major bummer, but im still interested in the 5690. I have another question: The 6-in-1 Card reader, does that go in the #2nd Bay also? Or can it go in the system without having to take anything out?

Don't get me wrong I am VERY happy with the 8790. I had only a few problems which I'm sure could have been resolved. But I was torn between the 8790 and the 5680. And now that the 5690 is available, I thought I'd give the 56** series...
