my fault there is two, it must be right under the other one, did you take the memory stick out to see if its there, otherwise I would call acer up and sk them WTF ? etc

there only one slot, so you have get a 1gb stick to put in

ultra ata/100 is parallell, it be easy to check cuz sata connectors are about a inch in lenght and parallell are about 21/2 inches in lenght but im pretty sure u have pata

well on my travelmate u can access the harddrive bay on the bottom of case, just ltake some screws out and look to see which one the hd is in and replace it

also forgot to say but your link is the correct ram, plus you dont have get them in pair ie 2 1gb sticks u can get 512 and 1gb as long as there pc2700 etc, its uses the same speed ram with my travelmate4404

166 sounds right cuz ddr doubles that speed hence 333hz speed, I physically check your ram for id so u can be sure there the same kind etc

yea they do cuz I've restore mine twice now with ntfs file system, all is does formats back to fat32... no problems yet

if your using xp sp2 there no need to have drivers as xp2 has them for u

Ok forgot my bios password, is there a way to reset it using windows as I have no floppy disc, if I have to I get a usb one, however I tried some other ways but to no avail...Any help would be great ps Im leary of opening the case,...
